Written in 2016. I was part of a songwriting group and during a random conversation someone spoke that line…we decided to all write a song with that line in it.

Walking up those creaking stairs feels like a shaky place
Broken shutters at the end of the hall there’s a smell you can taste

The shifting sands of innocence hide the guilty hand
